About this tuition course
The Physics AS & A-Level tuition lessons will be 90 minutes each. They will start with a review and in-depth explanation of the topic before moving on to practice questions. The focus will be on deepening understanding and improving answers to maximise your marks in the final exams.
Each session is fully interactive, and you will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get valuable feedback and advice on answering exam questions, exam technique and revision strategy.
The details and timing of the topics covered will depend on the needs of the group, but the initial plan will be as follows:
Section I: Mechanics: Vectors, Forces, Motion and Newton’s Laws, Electricity and Circuits
Section II: Waves and Materials
Section III: Particles and Radiation or Particle Nature of Light or Quantum Physics – according to the exam board
Later in the course, we will concentrate on exam practice, covering all topics and reviewing areas of difficulty. The course will run right up to the week of the final exams, with additional classes to be made available if required.
Revision of physical quantities, measurement and data analysis will be integrated within the individual topic areas.
Each lesson will take place in a virtual classroom where we can share resources such as animations and simulations as well as interactive quizzes and exam questions. This is a great opportunity to brush up on areas of difficulty and prepare thoroughly, using past paper questions, so that you can approach the exams with confidence.
